Job summary

GMC Utilities Group seeks a Design Project Manager (Water/Wastewater) to lead the design and coordination of water infrastructure projects. Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience delivering water infrastructure projects with strong project management.
• Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and interface with clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage the design process for water infrastructure projects, including pipelines, pumping stations, reservoirs, and treatment facilities.
• Coordinate internal and external design teams, ensuring compliance with project specifications, Irish Water standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and review technical designs, drawings, and documentation, ensuring accuracy and constructability.
• Liaise with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to integrate design and construction activities.
• Conduct design risk assessments, ensuring all health, safety, and environmental considerations are met.
• Manage project design schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure on-time project delivery.
• Support tendering and bid processes by preparing technical documentation and design inputs.
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships with clients, local authorities, and regulatory bodies.
