Job summary

Adare and District Memory Care Centre, part of Mowlam Healthcare Group, is recruiting Healthcare Assistants to join a dedicated multi-disciplinary team in delivering high-quality, person-centred care 24 hours a day.

The role reports to the Nurse in Charge and requires compassionate, professional individuals with strong communication skills and a commitment to dignity in care. The centre offers a supportive environment with induction training and opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• FETAC/QQI Level 5 healthcare qualification (or in progress)
• Excellent communication and listening skills required
• Reliable and professional approach
• Can work independently or as part of a team
• Fluent written and spoken English required
• All posts subject to satisfactory references and Garda vetting

Responsibilities

• Support nursing staff in delivering high quality person-centred care
• Get to know residents' interests and needs, provide companionship
• Promote mobility and assist with daily activities
• Maintain residents' appearance and personal hygiene with dignity
• Communicate with nurses about residents' condition
• Assist residents to eat/drink and maintain comfort
• Participate in social activities and events
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety in the home
• Assist with general duties as directed by Nurse in Charge
