Job summary

MMD Construction in Cork, Ireland, is seeking an experienced Project Manager reporting to the Contracts Manager to drive successful delivery of construction projects, ensuring adherence to budget, programme, safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have a third level qualification in construction, at least 5 years in a similar role, and strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills to coordinate designers, engineers and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Third level qualification in Construction Discipline.
• At least 5 years relevant experience in a similar role.
• Background in engineering is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage scope of works for each project, ensuring objectives for EHS, design, technical, quality, programme and commercial are met.
• Coordinate and review construction drawings, specifications and work requirements.
• Allocate and manage resources to ensure availability when needed.
• Determine equipment, materials and manpower required for projects.
• Maintain quality control and proper project documentation throughout lifecycle.
• Order and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Prepare reports using Project Management Software.
• Modify and update the project programme with senior management to meet milestones.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and BCAR.
• Collaborate with subcontractors, engineers, architects and key project team members.
