Job summary

Corrib Oil in Westport is seeking a Full-Time Deli Chef for our service station. You will prepare Breakfast, Lunch, Evening Meals and Chilled products following Corrib Deli guidelines and present food to a high standard with attractive displays.

You will uphold HACCP standards, assist customers with product knowledge, train the team, and manage stock orders and regular stock takes in a busy deli environment.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of Breakfast, Lunch, Evening Meals and Chilled Products according to Corrib Deli guidelines.
• Present food to a high standard with appealing displays.
• Minimise waste and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality.
• Serve food and provide exceptional customer service at all times.
• Ensure HACCP standards are followed by the Deli team.
• Place stock orders and check goods received for quantity and quality.
• Carry out regular stock takes.
• Train and assist the Deli team in safe practices and presentation skills.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by management.

Main Purpose of the job:

• Prioritise customer care ensuring customer transactions are carried out efficiently & effectively in both store and deli.
• Maintain hygiene & food safety within the shop and deli.
• The processing of customer sales and requests carried out in a fast, effective and friendly environment.
• Ability to work with all employees in a helpful manner and at all times be a team player
• Assisting customers with product knowledge and recommendations.

Main Duties:

1. Preparation of Breakfast, Lunch, Evening Meals and Chilled Products in accordance with Corrib Deli guidelines.

2. Strong presentation skills, ensuring that food is presented to a high standard with decorative and appetizing food displays.

3. Minimise waste and identify cost saving measures while maintaining standards.

4. Serve food when required, providing exceptional customer service at all times.

5. Have excellent knowledge of HACCP, ensuring that standards are adhered to by all of the Corrib Deli team.

6. Prepare and place stock orders as required and check the quantity and quality of goods received.

7. Completion of stock takes on a regular basis.

8. Train and assist the Corrib Deli team in areas such as safe working practices, food preparation, cooking techniques, garnishing and presentation skills.

9. Carry out any other duties associated with the role and as may be assigned to you by management.
