Job summary

Aramark Ireland is seeking a Deli Assistant to join the team at Parkmore Industrial Estate, Galway. The role involves assisting in food preparation and service for a medical device factory's catering service, with a focus on delivering excellent customer experience.

The position is 20 hours per week at €14.15 per hour, with Monday to Thursday evenings from 4.30pm to 9.45pm. Benefits include free parking, meal provision, uniform and shoes, pension, sick pay, and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or food service desirable.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food hygiene practices is desirable.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food hygiene regulations are followed and HACCP procedures are adhered to.
• Prepare and serve food in line with HACCP / food hygiene guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and perform deep cleaning duties as required.
• Provide excellent customer service and engage with customers.
• Manage stock rotation and keep work areas tidy.
• Carry out additional duties to support smooth operation.

Job description

As a Deli Assistant within our team here in Parkmore Industrial Estate, Galway, you will be helping us to deliver our catering services to those working in a medical device factory. This position can be very rewarding for the right candidate, helping deliver meal production and positive and engaging customer service. Our interactions contribute hugely to the experience of those using our restaurants, and we aim to improve each customer's day through our interactions. The successful candidate must have great customer service skills and a flair for food.

Your responsibilities:

• To ensure all food hygiene regulations are adhered to, in particular, our following our HACCP system
• Be responsible for the food preparation and service in line with HACCP / Food Hygiene procedures
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, deep clean duties
• Have the ability to work on your own initiative
• Provide excellent customer service
• Ensure Stock rotation
• Ensure all work areas is clean and tidy
• Complete other reasonable duties assigned by your line manager from time to time to ensure the smooth running of the department.

You must have:

Current work permit, in date, and available to work in Galway Ireland (WE DO NOT OFFER SPONSORSHIP SO PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE RELEVANT PERMITS)
