Job summary

Compass Group Ireland is seeking a dedicated Deli Assistant to support the deli operation on a 30-hour-per-week full-time basis, Monday to Friday. You will prepare and present deli items, maintain the counter, and serve customers with a friendly approach.

The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, strong teamwork, and good spoken English. Experience in deli or customer service is helpful but not essential, with training provided to support career progression.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present hot and cold deli items, sandwiches, salads, and snacks.
• Set up and maintain the deli counter, ensuring it is clean, stocked, and visually appealing.
• Serve customers efficiently and with a friendly, professional manner.
• Handle customer requests with a can-do attitude and aim to exceed expectations.
• Follow food hygiene, allergen and Health & Safety guidelines as trained.
• Ensure correct storage and rotation of food items and equipment.
• Assist colleagues to ensure smooth run of the operation.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and presenting hot and cold deli items, sandwiches, salads, and snacks.
• Setting up and maintaining the deli counter, ensuring it is clean, well-stocked, and visually appealing.
• Serving customers efficiently and with a friendly, professional manner.
• Handling individual customer requests with a can-do attitude and aiming to exceed expectations.
• Following food hygiene, allergen, and Health & Safety guidelines in line with provided training.
• Ensuring correct storage and rotation of food items and equipment.
• Assisting colleagues as required to ensure smooth running of the operation.

Our ideal Deli Assistant will:
