Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a technician to join our decontamination service, providing reprocessing for reusable medical devices across theatres, wards and clinics.

No prior experience required as full in-house training over one year; a shift system including night shifts is in place, and you must be flexible to match service needs. This role supports a range of specialties and links to local NHS activity.

• Provide a comprehensive reprocessing service for the decontamination of reusable medical devices across theatres, wards and clinics.
• Support decontamination activity for Orthopaedics, General Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmic, Gynaecology and Urology as part of the service.
• Adhere to NHS Scotland values and quality standards in daily work.

Job description

We have one vacancy available for the position of technician due to an expansion in our service activity.

We require enthusiastic and hard working individuals to join our team who are responsible for providing a comprehensive reprocessing service for the decontamination of reusable medical devices for theatres, wards and clinics covering a range of specialities that include Orthopaedics, General Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmic, Gynaecology and Urology

Due to the unique service we provide, previous experience is not required as full training is provided, in house, over a period of one year

A shift system is in place and that includes nightshift.

You will be expected to be completely flexible in your hours of work to suit the needs of the service
