Job summary

Gourmet Food Parlour is seeking experienced full-time Front of House waiting staff for our Malahide restaurant. This daytime role runs mainly from 8am to 6pm, across five days (Mon-Sun) with weekend availability required.

You will welcome guests, describe menus, take orders, deliver meals, and ensure guests are looked after while upholding HACCP standards. English language and 1 year in a similar role are required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as a wait staff or similar role.
• Knowledge of cash register and any ordering information system.
• Customer oriented approach.
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills.
• Be calm under pressure and multitask.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
• Flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays.
• Meet HACCP store policies and safety standards.
• Clear and pleasant communication with teammates.
• Dress and personal hygiene per HACCP guidelines.
• Work across store during shifts.
• Have a valid work permit/visa.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and lead them to seats.
• Introduce menus and describe dishes and drinks.
• Make recommendations on specialties.
• Take orders and process through EPOS.
• Deliver orders to table promptly.
• Maintain a restaurant section and attend guests throughout visit.
• Adhere to food, sanitary and safety standards.
• Inspect quality and appearance of dishes.
• Resolve special requirements and guest needs.
• Handle complaints calmly and professionally.
• Deliver checks and process payments.
• Collaborate closely with staff.
