Job summary

Day Support Worker at Dublin Simon Community, based in Dublin city centre, will meet client needs daily, providing in-the-moment support and safety while upholding best-practice standards in emergency accommodation services.

The role is permanent, 37.5 hours per week with seven-day liability. You will receive an induction program, 10 training days per year, and on-the-job coaching to help you succeed and progress within the organisation.

Qualifications

• Level 6/7/8 in a relevant field with 6 months experience in similar setting.
• Or Level 5 with 12 months experience in similar setting.
• Flexibility to work in an agile environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt.

Responsibilities

• Support the project/ key workers and management to meet goals.
• Build professional relationships of trust with service users with dignity and respect.
• Provide emotional and motivational support and promote positive mental health.
• Coordinate with housing providers, GP and pharmacists to meet health needs.
