Dublin Simon Community is seeking an Outreach Support Worker to operate on the frontline in Dublin City, providing essential support and advocacy for adults experiencing rough sleeping. You will connect clients with vital resources and help them move into short-term accommodation, with a path toward permanent housing through Housing First.

The role offers 37.5 hours per week with morning and evening shifts and a salary range of €33,500–€38,250, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• NFQ level 7 qualification with 6 months relevant experience, or NFQ level 6 with 1 year, or NFQ level 5 with 2 years in health, community, or social care (including residential settings).

Responsabilités

• Provide in-reach and out-reach support to rough sleepers.
• Build strong relationships with clients and maintain professionalism.
• Collaborate with Housing First team to secure accommodation and referrals.
• Develop relationships with key stakeholders.
• Identify and monitor rough sleeper hotspots and conduct counts.
• Assist clients in securing accommodation, residential treatment, and medical services.
• Deliver signposting and referrals to relevant services.
• Implement harm reduction and mental health interventions.
• Work within case and care management systems while protecting client needs.
• Manage referral systems to enable quick access to services.
• Maintain health and safety in buildings and on the street.
• Respond to incidents and assess risks to clients.
