Job summary

AA Euro Healthcare is recruiting Agency Support Workers for Day Service opportunities in the Blackrock and Mahon areas of Cork. This role supports individuals in a person-centred environment while candidates complete their QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare.

As a Support Worker, you will help service users participate in meaningful daily activities, promoting independence, dignity and inclusion within the community. Weekday daytime hours are expected.

Qualifications

• Currently completing a QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare
• Genuine interest in working in disability and Day Services
• Reliable, compassionate and person-centred
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Support service users with daily activities and individual goals
• Encourage independence, choice and social inclusion
• Support participation in community-based activities
• Assist with personal care where required
• Support educational, recreational and life-skills activities
• Follow individual care/support plans
• Maintain documentation and records
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Ensure safety, dignity and wellbeing of service users
