Job summary

AA Euro Healthcare is seeking Support Workers for relief and ongoing agency opportunities across Waterford and surrounding areas. We value candidates with good, regular availability throughout the week to access ongoing shift opportunities.

Applicants must have QQI Level 5 Major Award and be eligible to work in Ireland; Garda Vetting and references are required, with up-to-date mandatory training. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Must have QQI Level 5 Major Award (8 modules) in Healthcare Support, Nursing, Health Service Skills or Community Health Services.
• Previous healthcare, disability or social care experience desirable.
• Full eligibility to work in Ireland; Garda Vetting and references required; up-to-date mandatory training.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support based on individual needs.
• Promote independence, dignity, choice and inclusion.
• Support service users with daily living and personal care where required.
• Assist with social, recreational and community activities.
• Maintain accurate records and report concerns appropriately.

We are particularly interested in candidates who can offer good, regular availability throughout the week. While agency hours cannot be guaranteed, candidates with greater flexibility and availability will be best placed to access ongoing shift opportunities.

Essential Requirements

• Full QQI Level 5 Major Award - all 8 modules must be completed in Healthcare Support, Nursing Studies, Health Service Skills or Community Health Services
• Previous healthcare, disability or social care experience desirable.
• Good availability and flexibility to work regular agency shifts.
• Full eligibility to work in Ireland.
• Garda Vetting and satisfactory references.
• Up-to-date mandatory training.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Full driving licence desirable.
