Valeo Foods Ireland’s Batchelors site seeks a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join the maintenance and engineering team. The role focuses on installation, maintenance and repair of plant and machinery with shift flexibility (7.30am-7.30pm or 7.30pm-7.30am).

You will diagnose and repair equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and coordinate with other shifts to ensure continuous production. A qualified Mechanical Automation & Maintenance Fitting qualification and FMCG experience are preferred.

Formación

• 2+ years’ experience as a qualified maintenance fitter/welder in a manufacturing environment.
• Fully qualified with Mechanical Automation & Maintenance Fitting qualification or equivalent (FETAC Level 6).
• Interest in Preventative Maintenance and ability to work on own initiative.
• Willingness to work any shift or day.
• Food industry FMCG experience is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Install, maintain and repair plant and machinery including Form/Fill/Seal, canning and packaging lines.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctioning equipment following manuals and procedures safely.
• Perform changeovers and lubrication to keep production moving smoothly.
• Coordinate with shift personnel to pass workload and share best practices.
• Liaise with vendors for spare parts and technical information.
