Job summary

TikTok is seeking a data scientist to empower its Trust & Safety initiatives in Dublin. You will work with large data sets, build core metrics, and communicate insights to stakeholders across functions.

You will design ML/AI solutions, develop evaluation systems, and collaborate with product, policy, and engineering teams to improve safety outcomes. Strong English and quantitative background required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data science, analytics or quantitative analysis.
• Experience with SQL, ETL, R/Python, Tableau, Excel.
• Experience building data infrastructure and implementing reporting solutions.
• Experience with creating data visualizations to communicate metric performance.
• Independently design, research, develop and apply ML/AI solutions to solve business problems, including prediction and optimization.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences in English.
• Degree in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, Economics, CS, Mathematics, Engineering).

Responsibilities

• Work with large and complex data sets to support project execution and strategic planning.
• Design and monitor core metrics; perform root cause analysis to explain drivers.
• Collaborate with the global Trust and Safety team, providing insights and recommendations.
• Influence stakeholders through data-based recommendations and drive business impact.
• Use data and insights to develop heuristics to detect and disarm safety incidents.
• Develop metrics and visualization tools to evaluate risks of the platform and safety strategies.
