Job summary

Musgrave Group Plc in Ireland seeks a Reorder Manager for Sallynoggin MarketPlace to lead stock levels, promotions and supplier coordination onsite. The successful candidate will bring 5+ years in a similar management role, a 3rd level business qualification, strong numerical ability, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years experience in similar management role within a Wholesale or retail environment.
  • 3rd level business related qualification.
  • Experience of forecasting activity and supplier management.
  • Excellent numerical ability and a high level of computer skills.
  • Outstanding leadership skills and organizational agility, demonstrated success in driving results.
  • Ability to engage, communicate and influence at all levels.
  • Excellent business acumen and numerical ability with an understanding of commercial sensitivities.
  • Thorough approach to work/attention to detail.
  • Standards and KPI focused.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure stock levels are maintained within targeted KPIs to include 100% must stock, 99% promotion availability.
  • Utilising the ERP system for processing purchase orders and controlling inventory.
  • Maintaining an accurate stock file on site and ensuring all stock adjustments completed in line with SOPs.
  • Manage ambient and chilled product dates to achieve wastage targets and lowest cost.
  • Achieve stock appreciation targets and support business growth.
  • Liaise with Trading and Sales to manage range and inventory, addressing overs, residual stocks and waste risks.
  • Oversee cycle counts and stock takes with local Management.
  • Measure inbound/outbound service levels and forecast on promotions across channels.
  • Organise local promotions and trading for the site to meet budgeted sales.
  • Ensure promotions align with Better Offer Better Buying programme and updated range policy.
  • Negotiate and maximise local trading opportunities with suppliers.
  • Input into MarketPlace promotions and attend Monthly Promotions meetings.
  • Communicate product availability/recovery to the wider business.
  • Coordinate with Sales and local management to maximise range.
  • Schedule deliveries with suppliers with Goods Inwards.
  • Utilise management information systems fully.
  • Support the wider site management team with duties and coverage.
  • Review operating systems and processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure the business achieves stock management targets.
  • Support new customer and new product launches.
  • Lead supply chain projects delivering value and cost benefits.

Please note this role is onsite.

What you’ll be doing:

The main duties of this role include the following but not limited to:

  • Ensure stock levels are maintained within targeted KPIs to include 100% must stock, 99% promotion availability.
  • Utilising the ERP system for processing purchase orders and controlling inventory
  • Maintaining an accurate stock file on site and ensuring all stock adjustments completed in line with SOP’s.
  • The effective date management of all ambient and chilled products on site to ensure wastage targets are achieved in line with achieving lowest cost.
  • Ensuring stock appreciation targets are achieved in line with growing our business.
  • Liaising with Trading and Sales colleagues to manage range and inventory ensuring overstocks, residual stocks and waste risks are being addressed
  • Responsibility, in conjunction with the local Management team, for accurate completion of cycle counting and stock takes.
  • Measurement of inbound / outbound service levels.
  • Forecasting on promotional activity across all channels (includes of anticipation of seasonal trends)
  • Organise and implement local promotions / trading for the site that contributes to the branch budgeted sales.
  • Ensure all promotions are in line with the Better Offer Better Buying programme and that all promotional offers are available throughout promotion cycles. And ensure replenishment of stock is in line with the updated range policy as per the Better Offer Better Buying programme.
  • Negotiation and maximisation of local trading opportunities with suppliers.
  • Provide input into MarketPlace promotions e.g. Killer deals (regular attendance at Monthly Promotions meetings)
  • Communicating product availability/recovery to the wider business
  • Liaise with the sales team and local management teams to ensure effective maximisation of range.
  • Scheduling of deliveries with suppliers in conjunction with Goods Inwards
  • Full utilisation of management information systems.
  • Work as part of the wider site management team to support the efficient running of the business e.g. duty management, department cover etc
  • Reviewing operating systems, processes and practices on an ongoing basis, recommending changes to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency to reduce costs
  • Ensuring the business achieves stock management targets
  • Supporting new customer and new product launches
  • Devising, implementing and managing supply chain projects that deliver added value services and cost benefits
People Management

Provide leadership, supervision, and support to team members during designated periods of the working week, ensuring operational effectiveness, employee wellbeing, and achievement of team objectives.
