As Data Governance & Operating Model Lead, you willplay a key role in establishing and scaling Musgrave’s enterprise data governance capability.
You will define and embed thedatagovernance framework, operating model, anddataownership structures required to ensure that data is consistently managed, trusted, and effectively used across the organisation.
Working closely with business, analytics, and technology teams, you will drive the adoption of data ownership and stewardship across domains,integrating governance into key transformation programmesand business processes.
This role reports into the Head of Data Governance, in the IT division and the role can be based in Dublin or Cork.
Define and evolve Musgrave’s data governance framework and operating model, aligned to enterprise strategy
Establish and embed data ownership, stewardship, and accountability across business domains
Lead the design and rollout of a federated data governance model across the organisation
Embed governance into keybusiness and technologytransformation programmes and delivery processes
Establish and coordinate data governance forums toleadcross-functional alignment and decision-making
Partner with business, analytics,and technology teams to ensure governance is integrated into everyday workflows and operations
Partner with thedata integration teamto align data ownership and governance principles with integration design and data movement
Enable and supportadoption of data governance practices, including data standards, policies, and ways of working
Define,track, and reportmetrics to measure governance maturity, adoption, and business value
Support the development of data fluency and promote a culture of data ownership and accountability
Experience leading or contributing to the development of enterprise-level data capabilities or initiatives
Proven ability to define and implement governance frameworks in complex, cross-functional environments
Understanding of data ownership, stewardship, and federated governance models
Experience embeddingdatagovernance into programmes, delivery processes, or transformation initiatives
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across business, analytics,and technology teams
Communication and leadership skills, with the ability to drive adoption and behavioural change
Understanding of modern data platforms(e.g. Azure DevOps, Microsoft Fabric & Purview, Databricks)and the role of governance in enabling analytics and AI
Experience in retail, FMCG, or complex operational environments is desirable
