Job summary

Dillon Engineering Services is hiring a senior Data Centre Project Manager to lead delivery from design through construction, based in Dublin or Cork with regular site travel. The role demands deep data centre experience and a strong MEP background, with responsibility for client liaison and cross-disciplinary coordination.

The successful candidate will oversee programmes, manage stakeholders, and drive projects to successful completion across multiple sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in the data centre sector (senior level)
• Strong project/construction management background
• Experience managing large-scale or mission-critical construction projects
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services (MEP)
• Experience coordinating MEP contractors, consultants and design teams
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of delivery

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of data centre projects from design to completion

About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering consultancy delivering major projects within the data centre sector. This is a senior, client-facing position suited to an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in data centre construction and project delivery, ideally across both mechanical and electrical disciplines.

The successful candidate can be based from Dublin or Cork, with flexibility around working arrangements. Regular travel to client project sites will be required depending on project needs.

Responsibilities

• Managing the delivery of data centre projects from design and construction through to completion
• Acting as a key point of contact between the consultancy and the client
• Managing project programmes, deliverables, risks and key milestones
• Coordinating mechanical, electrical and construction activities across projects
• Working closely with design, construction and site teams to resolve technical and programme issues
• Managing and coordinating contractors, consultants and other project stakeholders
• Attending project, design and construction meetings
• Monitoring progress against programme and reporting directly to the client and senior stakeholders
• Supporting technical reviews and ensuring project requirements are delivered
• Identifying project risks, delays or design issues and implementing solutions
• Supporting projects across multiple locations where required
