Job summary

GPC - Global Professional Consultants seeks an MEP Lead for a major Data Centre project in Portugal. The role accepts either Electrical or Mechanical bias and reports to the Project Manager, overseeing a dedicated MEP team to deliver the package on a large site.

The candidate should have a degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services Engineering, 5+ years leading MEP teams, strong commercial awareness and procurement experience. Data Centre exposure is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
• 5+ years experience leading MEP teams on large projects.
• Strong commercial awareness and procurement experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Data Centre projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver full MEP packages on the project.
• Lead and manage a team of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.
• Ensure high Health and Safety standards.
• Coordinate with in-house staff and subcontractors to ensure alignment of information.
• Monitor quality of work and materials.
• Lead labour and materials planning to minimise down time.
