Job summary

Chase Doors in Ireland is seeking a motivated Structural Design Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience to join our growing engineering team. You will design, develop, and optimize structural systems and products used in data centers and other industrial applications, including aisle containment and equipment support frames.

This role requires proficiency in SolidWorks and CAD, a solid understanding of structural engineering, fabrication methods, and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline as listed.
• Minimum 2 years of structural design experience in manufacturing, construction, industrial, or engineered products environments.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and 2D CAD software.
• Experience creating detailed engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Understanding of structural analysis, materials, and fabrication methods.
• Knowledge of steel structures, sheet metal design, welded assemblies, and bolted connections.
• Experience with data center or industrial infrastructure products is a plus.
• Familiarity with Eurocodes and relevant structural design standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop structural products, assemblies, and fabricated steel structures using SolidWorks and CAD software.
• Create detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, manufacturing documentation, and BOMs.
• Support the design and development of data center aisle containment systems, equipment support frames, security cages, and modular structures.
• Perform structural calculations and engineering analysis to validate designs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, project management, and installation teams to ensure designs meet performance, cost, and manufacturability requirements.
• Support prototype development, testing, and product validation activities.
• Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, engineering standards, and customer specifications.
• Assist in resolving production and field installation issues through engineering support and design modifications.
• Work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to develop practical engineering solutions.
