Job summary

ByteDance is seeking a Server Operations professional in Ireland to ensure full lifecycle operation management of our servers. You will oversee stability processes, monitor platforms, respond to incidents, and coordinate governance across teams in China and globally.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Proficiency in Java/C/C++ and scripting (Python/Go optional).
Working knowledge of server hardware and Linux; Shell scripting.
Bilingual in English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

Oversee online server stability, including planning and implementing stability processes and platform systems.
Handle server stability incidents: fault diagnosis, impact mitigation and post‑incident reviews.
Identify server stability risks across quality, operations, and platform systems.
Monitor server alerts, manage frontline staff, and compile weekly duty reports.
Develop stability capabilities: rapid recovery, drills, GUI-based change ops, major event support.
Define process specs for stability and coordinate with upstream/downstream teams on SLOs.
Improve monitoring and alerting, driving long‑term governance of monitoring capabilities.
