Job summary

Vantage Data Centers LLC in Ireland seeks a Manager, Chief Engineer to ensure the 24/7 operation of a large Tier III data center campus. You will lead electrical and mechanical systems, manage maintenance, and coordinate on-site teams.

The role requires ten years hands-on experience in mission-critical facilities, strong leadership, technical writing, and the ability to develop SOPs and budgets, with readiness for long hours and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Ten years of hands-on maintenance/repair/installation/commissioning in mission-critical facilities.
• At least two years of leadership/management experience in infrastructure environments.
• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, systems, operations, maintenance and emergency responses.
• Excellent technical writing; ability to create/update MOP/EOP/SOPs for equipment and systems.
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills to engage customers on site.
• Experience in budgeting, planning, and coordinating repairs up to executive level.
• Willingness to work long hours, weekends, rotating shifts, and on-call duties.
• Travel up to 5% for training.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise 24/7/365 operation of facility equipment and systems.
• Strive for zero downtime through reliable performance and proactive maintenance.
• Lead and develop on-site teams and subcontractors, including appraisals and training.
• Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and testing of electrical, mechanical, BMS and safety systems.
