Job summary

Vantage Data Centers is seeking a Manager, Chief Engineer to ensure uninterrupted operation of a large Tier III data center campus in Ireland. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and technicians, supervise maintenance activities, and coordinate with the Directors of Operations and Engineering.

Qualifications

• Ten years of hands-on maintenance/repair/installation/commissioning in mission-critical facilities (mechanical and/or electrical).
• At least two years of leadership/management experience with staff development in mission-critical environments.
• Strong knowledge of data-center infrastructure, operations, maintenance and emergency responses.
• Proven ability to develop, update and implement MOP/EOP/SOPs and to communicate technical concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Oversee 24/7/365 operation of facility equipment and systems.
• Aim for zero downtime through reliable system performance.
• Provide engineering analysis and energy efficiency recommendations to customers.
• Lead and develop Senior Specialists and technicians; manage performance appraisals and training.
• Coordinate maintenance, service repairs and testing of electrical, mechanical, BMS, and support systems.
• Ensure compliance with MOPs and work rules; utilize CMMS for preventive maintenance.
• Supervise subcontractors, allocate work, and optimize staffing and costs.
• Develop SOPs/EOPs/MOPs for equipment across the campus; maintain technical documentation.
• Run the site safety program and maintain OSHA-compliant practices.
• Prepare budgets and coordinate with Directors on requirements; manage spare parts and procurement.
