Job summary

Oliver James Group is seeking an experienced Data Business Analyst to join a large-scale data transformation programme in Dublin. The role is on-site with 3 days per week in Dublin.

The ideal candidate will bridge business stakeholders and technical data teams, delivering hands-on data analysis, quality checks, and insights to drive the transformation effort across complex datasets and platforms.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Business Analyst on large-scale data projects.
• Strong hands-on SQL skills and experience analysing large datasets.
• Experience with Snowflake and/or Databricks; Power BI and/or Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Bridge business requirements and technical data analysis for the programme.
• Collaborate with data engineers, developers and business stakeholders.
• Perform data quality checks, data mapping and validation across data flows.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience as a Data Business Analyst on large-scale data projects.
• Strong hands-on SQL skills and experience analysing large datasets.
• Experience with Snowflake and/or Databricks.
• Experience with Power BI and/or Tableau.
• Strong understanding of data requirements, data quality, mapping, validation and data flows.
• Experience working closely with data engineers, developers and business stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in Agile environments.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone comfortable working across both business requirements and technical data analysis.
