Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer for Data 360, focusing on real-time data integration across ingestion, harmonization, identity, insights, and activation. You will build and test in customer environments, using SQL, Apex, Flow, Python, and various APIs to deliver robust data foundations for enterprise use cases.

You will work with agents and data teams to ground AI solutions, implement MCP and agent-to-agent protocols, and ensure secure, scalable data workflows in production

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering, data engineering, or technical implementation, with a production data solution.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience implementing Salesforce Data 360 (Data Cloud) or a comparable enterprise data platform.
• Experience building data pipelines and integrations using enterprise platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, Kafka, or similar.
• Proficient in SQL and multi‑table query development, debugging, and optimization.
• Fluent in Apex, Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript and willing to learn others as needed.
• Understanding of data modeling, APIs, integration patterns, and batch/stream processing.
• Experience delivering with customers, partners, or professional services in deadline‑driven environments.
• Certifications in Salesforce Agentforce, Data 360, and Salesforce Platform are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Data 360 ingestion, modeling, identity, insight, activation, and operations in customer environments.
• Build and optimize data pipelines, integration patterns, and secure data access.
• Develop and validate representative test data and verify outcomes across edge cases and large-scale data.
• Ground AI solutions with vector databases, knowledge bases, and RAG techniques.
• Architect and implement scalable, secure data integration patterns across enterprise apps.
• Collaborate with architects, deployment strategists, and customer technical teams to deliver production handoff and stabilization.
• Provide hands-on configuration, testing, and deployment in sandbox to production environments.
• Identify platform gaps and surface issues with concrete evidence to product and support teams.
