DFDS UK & Ireland is seeking a Customs Administrator to support day‑to‑day operations and ensure compliant documentation for border movements within Ireland, the UK and the EU. The role involves coordinating trailers and container shipments in a busy freight environment.
You will manage customs administration, liaise with carriers and internal teams, and help maintain accurate records while ensuring smooth end‑to‑end freight movements.

Working Tuesday to Saturday, 9am–5pm on a Fixed Term Contract of 9 months, you’ll support day‑to‑day customs administration and freight bookings for trailer movements and container traffic. This role is key to ensuring goods move smoothly across borders, with strong compliance and accurate documentation at every stage.
You will be responsible for:
You’ll have experience in customs administration, ideally covering movements between Ireland, Northern Ireland, and the UK, with a strong understanding of trailer freight. Experience with short sea and ocean freight is desirable. You’ll be highly organised with excellent attention to detail, comfortable working under pressure, and confident managing multiple tasks at once. Someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, communicates clearly, and takes pride in getting the details right will succeed in this role.
