Job summary

DFDS is seeking a Class 1 HGV Driver to operate from Rathcoole, delivering chilled and ambient goods between depots and customer sites. You will drive high-standards, maintain accurate paperwork, and ensure loads are secure while adhering to driver hours regulations.

You will join a supportive transport team, work days, and be part of a company known for safe, reliable service across Europe. English fluency and a professional attitude are essential.

About The Role

As a Class 1 HGV Driver working days, you’ll be out on the road making sure our customers get their deliveries on time and in great condition. You’ll be driving from our depot to our other various depots, handling chilled and ambient goods.

You Will Responsible For

• Driving HGVs between depots and customer sites
• Delivering chilled and ambient products safely and on time
• Completing delivery notes and ensuring all paperwork is accurate
• Securing loads properly and carrying out basic vehicle safety checks
• Following road transport regulations, including driver hours and WTD
• Assisting with loading/unloading and ensuring loads are evenly distributed

You’ll be part of a supportive and friendly team in Rathcoole, where everyone pulls together to get the job done. You’ll be driving modern, well-maintained vehicles and working closely with our transport team to keep things running smoothly.

About You

You’ll need a full, clean HGV Class 1 licence, along with a valid CPC and tachograph card to get started. Since this is a customer-facing role, good English skills and a friendly, professional attitude go a long way. We’re looking for someone who is confident on the road, and takes pride in doing a great job. If you’re reliable, safety-conscious, and enjoy working independently while still being part of a supportive team, you’ll fit right in.
