Job summary

Cork Builders Providers Ltd. in Clonmel is seeking a General Assistant to deliver knowledgeable, friendly service while supporting branch sales and gross profit. You will promote products, assist customers and maintain high standards of customer care.

The role requires experience in a busy builder provider environment, a proven sales track record, and IT literacy. The position is permanent, full-time with a 39-hour week, Monday to Friday, with potential Saturday roster.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a busy builder provider environment.
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales and margin targets.
• Sales experience across a broad range of products.
• Proficient IT literacy.

Responsibilities

• Build effective relationships with customers to understand requirements and ensure correct products are supplied.
• Identify sales opportunities and offer advice to maximise profitable sales and margin.
• Achieve sales and margin targets.
• Maintain a clean, well-merchandised counter area per policy.
• Process sales paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Maintain stock levels in Plumbing, Timber, Steel and Ironmongery departments.
• Liaise with suppliers as needed and support branch operations.
• Support the Branch Manager and team to run the branch efficiently.
• Keep a tidy working environment in line with health and safety guidelines.
• Actively safeguard company property from theft.
• Perform other duties as required by the company.
