Job description

JOE & THE JUICE is a people-centric food and beverage company built around culture, not just juice, sandwiches, coffee, and much more. When joining us, you step into a high-energy community where the music is loud, the bar is your stage, and your personality matters as much as your skills.

We believe in four simple virtues that shape everything we do:

  • Inclusion
  • Growth

For us, this means that when you choose a cup-half-full mindset, welcome people from every background, build real friendships across the bar by creating great guest experiences, and use every shift as a chance to learn something new — you become more than just a Juicer; like us, you continue to search and find purpose and meaning in what you do.

From your first day, you’ll be part of an international network of Juicers who support each other, celebrate wins together, and push each other to grow. You will learn by doing, move through a clear Moneyball career path, and be part of a company where most leaders have earned their stripes behind the bar (fun fact: over 75% of our employees started as Juicers!).

If you love fast-paced service, music, people, and the idea of turning a job into a lifestyle, JOE can become a place to build skills, friendships, and a career that can take you across cities, countries, and roles.

Your Mission

Ireland is a new, emerging market for JOE & THE JUICE: two stores are open, a third is on the way, and a healthy pipeline is lined up for next year. Based in Ireland, the role is part of UK&I Operations, working closely with Real Estate, Construction, People and HQ. Reporting to the Operations Director UK&I, this role leads JOE in Ireland end to end. It combines strategic market building with hands‑on leadership on the floor, ensuring every store starts strong and the JOE culture is cared for from day one. As the market grows, you will build a team of experts around you and plan talent and succession early - a natural next step for an established District/Area Manager, and a chance to shape a market from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and evolve the Ireland growth plan, turning an ambitious roadmap into clear priorities for stores, people and openings
  • Build and scale a strong store management team, recruiting, training and coaching Store Managers while staying close to the team as we grow
  • Lead each new store opening from preparation to launch and the first months of trading, partnering with Real Estate and Construction on site input, build progress and handover
  • Lead hands‑on operations, being on the floor regularly to coach in the moment, spot issues early and fix workflows that slow the team down
  • Oversee and improve product quality, service, hygiene and guest experience, balancing global JOE standards with local Irish needs
  • Ensure compliance with Irish health and safety, food safety and employment regulations in every store
  • Own the Ireland P&L and budget (sales, margin, labour, waste and overheads), using trading data to find opportunities across all sales channels
  • Champion the JOE virtues (Positive Attitude, Inclusion, Social Ties, Growth), driving engagement, retention and talent planning as the market scales
What You'll Bring
  • Proven multi-site leadership in F&B, QSR, hospitality or retail, ideally as a District or Area Manager or similar
  • Hands‑on experience opening and ramping new stores or markets, and working with Real Estate and Construction teams
  • A people-first approach: you coach, build talent and care about culture, whether you are a JOE insider or joining us from outside
  • Knowledge of the Irish market (landlords, employment law, hiring landscape and local guest expectations) is a plus
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across functions and seniority levels.
  • Commercially sharp, with a strong grasp of P&L, labour and margin, and calm, decisive and positive in a fast‑moving environment
  • Fluent in English - other languages are a bonus!

We offer a benefits package that includes a paid pension plan, health insurance, parental leave, and additional vacation. Besides that, we provide some JOE-ified benefits:

  • At JOE, we embrace a flat hierarchy that values every opinion, creating a welcoming space for your ideas and suggestions to thrive.
  • Join us for our lively monthly social calendar filled with fun activities like running club, wine tasting, creative evenings, and Friday bars-there's always something exciting happening!
  • As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to take on a BTC (Behind the Counter) shift in one of our bars twice a year, adding a unique touch to your experience.
  • Stay fuelled with free Juice, Coffee and much more
  • Vitality Health Care
  • Enhanced Pension Scheme

ABOUT JOE & THE JUICE

JOE & THE JUICE is a healthy fast-casual concept founded in Copenhagen in 2002; since then, we have grown to more than 500 locations across 20 countries and now employ more than 4,500 people worldwide. From day one, our ambition has been to prove that there should be no trade-off between taste and health.

We serve high-quality, freshly prepared juices, shakes, coffee and sandwiches in relaxed, contemporary concept cafés that combine convenience with distinct urban atmospheres. JOE & THE JUICE goes beyond products towards the full experience around the bar, creating a consistent universe for guests and Juicers in all our locations.

We invest heavily in internal development through our Moneyball career system and a culture where most leaders, including C-suite, VPs and directors, have started behind the bar. We continue to evolve our people-centric and sustainability agenda that is part of our Nordic heritage and our commitment to a better future.
