Job summary

Avoca Malahide is seeking experienced Counter Assistants for a permanent part-time role (16 hours per week) with an immediate start. Flexibility is essential as shifts may vary.

You will deliver high standards of customer service, perform barista duties, handle till operations, stock replenishment and keep the department tidy, in line with Avoca brand standards and values.

Qualifications

• Experience in busy hospitality environments.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Reliable, self-motivated and team oriented.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide high standard customer service in person and by phone.
• Barista duties: making coffees and serving food.
• Operate till and process payments.
• Open/close duties as directed by line manager.
• Maintain store cleanliness and brand standards.
• Stock replenishment and ad-hoc tasks.

We are recruiting for experienced Counter Assistants to work on a permanent part-time basis (16 hours per week) in our location at Avoca Malahide. This position is for an immediate start and the candidate must be flexible.

Duties include:

• Customer Service - A high standard of customer service is required for the role, including assisting customers in person and via phone
• Barista - making coffees, serving fresh food to customers.
• Till use - scanning items and taking payments, managing queues in a timely manner.
• Running tables/table service
• Replenishing stock, ensuring the department is always in line with Avoca brand standards.
• Opening and closing duties as outlined by your line manager
• Ensuring the store is clean, tidy and in keeping with Avoca brand standards
• Ad-hoc duties outlined by your manager
