Job summary

Element Six in Shannon, Ireland, requires a Cost Accountant to support our HPHT and CVD operations with accurate costing, budgeting and financial reporting. You will partner with production, engineering and commercial teams to drive cost insight and efficiency.

Key responsibilities include standard costing maintenance, month-end close, variance analysis and inventory reconciliation, with opportunities to leverage Power BI and AI-enabled tools for enhanced insights and governance.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with post-qualification costing experience.
• Solid costing background in manufacturing or operational finance.
• Experience using JD Edwards or similar ERP systems.
• Proficient in Excel, Power BI and AI-enabled analytics tools.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to influence stakeholder decisions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain standard costing processes including BOMs, routing times and work-centre rates.
• Deliver monthly close activities and manufacturing variances reporting.
• Reconcile inventory to GL and manage cost roll-ups and data integrity.
• Develop costing models, scenarios and sensitivity analyses for decisions.
• Prepare management reports and dashboards with insights on production costs.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and longer-range planning for production.
