The role offers broad in-house exposure across commercial, corporate, disputes, projects and operations within a fast-moving financial services business. Working with senior lawyers and teams across the business, you will provide practical legal support that enables growth and manages risk. This opportunity suits a proactive, pragmatic and detail-oriented junior lawyer looking to develop in a collaborative in-house environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support on disputes, claims, debt recovery, insolvency and enforcement-related matters as needed.
  • Deliver practical legal guidance to internal stakeholders on day-to-day business queries, referring complex or higher-risk matters where appropriate.
  • Contribute legal input to product, regulatory, operational and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with compliance, risk, data privacy and regulatory colleagues to help ensure legal advice reflects applicable laws, internal policies and business needs.
  • Support legal research, horizon scanning and the preparation of briefings on relevant legal and regulatory developments.
  • Assist in maintaining and enhancing legal templates, playbooks, trackers and processes to promote efficiency and consistency across the legal function.
  • Provide assistance with tax and corporate governance matters, including support for boards and committees, entity management, approvals, filings and the maintenance of corporate records.
Requirements
  • Qualified solicitor in Ireland with 0-2 years' post-qualification experience.
  • Strong legal research, drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience or exposure to commercial contracts and general business legal matters.
  • Good understanding of corporate governance and a willingness to support disputes, regulatory and operational matters.
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to identify risks and contribute to practical, business-focused solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the business.
  • Collaborative and proactive approach, with a willingness to support senior lawyers and colleagues across the wider legal team.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks, seek guidance when needed and elevate complex or higher-risk matters appropriately.
  • Desirable: Experience in an in-house legal team or exposure to the payments, fintech or financial services sector.
