Job summary

CNPLaw LLP (CNP) seeks an associate/senior associate for its Corporate Advisory team, with a sub-focus on global mobility, employment, technology and data protectionlaw practice. The role involves advising on global mobility, technology contracts and data protection, drafting and negotiating a wide range of corporate documents, and supporting cross-border transactions.

The ideal candidate will be admitted in Singapore with 2–5 years PQE, strong drafting ability and commercial acumen.

Qualifications

• Duly admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore.
• 2–5 years PQE with a reputable law firm; strong drafting and negotiation skills.
• Experience in Employment Law, Commercial Contracts, Corporate M&A and General Corporate Advisory.
• Mandarin language skills are a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Global Mobility: support matters under global mobility, including hiring, reassignment and termination.
• Technology & Data Protection: advise on licensing and data protection matters.
• Advisory & Drafting: draft, review and negotiate corporate and commercial documentation (e.g., share sale/purchase, joint venture agreements, IT services agreements).
• Transactional Work: assist on domestic and cross-border transactions from inception to completion.
• Due Diligence: conduct legal due diligence and identify key risks and recommendations.
• Legal Research & Analysis: conduct research on Singapore law and regulatory framework.
• Business Development: participate in client pitches and seminars and related activities.
