Job summary

MSD Malaysia is seeking an Site Facilities Intern in Cork, Ireland, to support a multinational pharmaceutical site’s daily operations. You will gain hands-on experience in Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) and lead maintenance-related activities in a regulated manufacturing environment.

The role focuses on audits, data management, and improvement projects, with exposure to GMP, EHS, and cross-functional teamwork. This internship offers practical mentorship within a global healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams (Quality, EHS, Manufacturing).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Facility Audits & Inspections: conduct site walk-throughs to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and GMP/compliance issues across labs and manufacturing suites.
• Project Support: assist facilities and engineering teams with space planning, equipment upgrades, and vendor management.
• EHS & Compliance: ensure facility operations adhere to GMP standards, sustainability goals, and safety protocols.
• Data Management: prepare and update facility metrics, KPI dashboards, and technical documentation using CMMS.
• Continuous Improvement: participate in projects to improve building efficiency and reduce downtime.
