Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Thought Machine-enabled Core Banking Developer to design, build, and evolve modern core banking products on cloud-native platforms.

You will implement Vault-based product logic, governance, and ledger integrity, collaborating with product, operations, and risk teams. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years developing APIs/integration in regulated environments, strong Java/Python/Kotlin/Go skills, and hands-on experience with Thought Machine Vault or similar ledger platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years developing APIs/integration services in regulated environments.
• BA/MBA in IT or related experience is preferred.
• Proven experience with Thought Machine Vault or similar core banking tech.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement core banking product logic using Thought Machine or equivalent.
• Build and maintain ledger-posting logic aligned with accounting principles.
• Configure product parameters and lifecycle states (onboarding, maturity, closures).
• Develop integration services and APIs for channels and downstream systems.
• Write tests and support CI/CD releases; troubleshoot production issues.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Security, and Risk teams on controls.
