Job summary

U.S. Bank seeks a Thought Machine Core Banking Developer to design, build and evolve core banking products on cloud-native platforms.

You’ll implement Vault-based logic, build APIs, and collaborate with engineering, product, operations and risk teams to deliver secure financial capabilities. Strong background in Thought Machine Vault or similar, plus 5+ years API/integration experience in regulated environments, and knowledge of payments, accounting and data platforms, are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in APIs/integration in regulated enterprise environments.
• Experience delivering core banking products on Thought Machine or similar.
• Strong understanding of double-entry accounting, ledgers, and reconciliation.
• Experience with Thought Machine Vault configuration and lifecycle events.
• Knowledge of payments (SEPA, SWIFT) and regulatory controls.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement core banking product logic using Thought Machine framework or equivalent.
• Develop integration services and APIs for channels and downstream systems.
• Write comprehensive tests (unit, integration, contract) and support CI/CD releases.
• Troubleshoot production issues with root-cause analysis and improved runbooks.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Security/Risk teams to ensure controls.
