Job summary

Northern Trust Ireland is seeking a Senior Consultant - Controls Lead, Chief Control Office to design and implement the group-wide control architecture, taxonomy and inventory, and to establish quality standards and governance. The role requires SME knowledge of Internal Controls and Operational Risk in a fast-moving, global environment.

You will collaborate with Control Owners and senior business leaders to drive consistency, leverage automated controls, and enhance risk management practices

Qualifications

• Experience in banking risk/control management and programme delivery.
• Familiarity with Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) tools desirable.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement group-wide control architecture including taxonomy and inventory.
• Define minimum controls for non-financial risks and establish quality measures.
• Oversee control inventory governance and reporting with control owners.
• Collaborate across the organisation to harmonise controls and standards.
• Identify opportunities for automated controls and machine learning.
• Engage risk and control partners to enhance risk management practices.
