They are seeking an organised, commercially minded Project & Contracts Coordinator to support the planning and delivery of road maintenance contracts, from tender stage through to completion.

  • This is a varied role combining tender submissions, contract coordination, programme planning, technical liaison and client relationship management within a specialist, hands‑on contracting environment.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Support tender submissions, including quality submissions, method statements, programmes and technical documentation.
  • Review tender documents, specifications, drawings and contract requirements, identifying potential risks and considerations.
  • Coordinate awarded contracts, liaising with clients to establish work requirements and develop practical programmes.
  • Translate client requirements and site information into workable programmes for foremen and operational crews.
  • Monitor progress, coordinate programme changes and communicate updates to clients and site teams.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with local authority clients, subcontractors and internal teams.
  • Identify and record additional works, variations and client instructions, coordinating with management on pricing and approvals.

  • Maintain accurate contract records, measurements, reports and supporting documentation.
  • Support quality assurance, technical compliance and relevant surface dressing documentation.
The Ideal Candidate

third‑level qualification in civil engineering, construction management or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant industry experience.

  • Experience in project coordination, contract administration, tendering or construction management within construction, civil engineering or roadworks.
  • Strong organisational, planning and communication skills.
  • Good commercial awareness and the ability to interpret contract documentation.
  • Confidence liaising with clients, management, foremen and site personnel.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • A proactive, practical approach with the ability to manage competing priorities and resolve issues effectively.
  • An understanding of the commercial and operational considerations involved in delivering construction contracts.
  • Experience with local authority contracts, Irish public works contracts, road surfacing or tender submissions would be a distinct advantage.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established specialist contractor in a key coordination role, working closely with management and operational teams to ensure contracts are properly planned and delivered.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to project delivery, client relationships and the ongoing success of the business. Final tender pricing and financial performance remain the responsibility of management.
