Job summary
ManpowerGroup Ireland is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer for a 6‑month contract in a GMP‑regulated pharmaceutical facility in Dublin. You will provide day‑to‑day automation support, troubleshoot PLC/HMI/SCADA, deliver control system upgrades and support validation activities with Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality teams.
Ideal candidates hold a degree in Automation/Controls/Electrical Engineering and have Siemens or Rockwell experience, plus GMP knowledge and strong stakeholder
Qualifications
- Qualification in Automation, Controls, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience supporting automated manufacturing environments.
- Strong PLC, HMI and SCADA troubleshooting experience.
- Pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical device experience.
- Siemens and/or Rockwell automation platforms.
- GMP and computerised systems validation knowledge.
- Industrial networking and OT systems experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day automation and control systems support.
- Troubleshoot PLC, HMI and SCADA systems.
- Deliver control system upgrades and continuous improvement projects.
- Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Manage change controls and validation activities.
- Develop SOPs, specifications and technical documentation.
- Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance and Quality teams.
