Job summary

ManpowerGroup Ireland is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer for a 6‑month contract in a GMP‑regulated pharmaceutical facility in Dublin. You will provide day‑to‑day automation support, troubleshoot PLC/HMI/SCADA, deliver control system upgrades and support validation activities with Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality teams.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in Automation/Controls/Electrical Engineering and have Siemens or Rockwell experience, plus GMP knowledge and strong stakeholder

Qualifications

• Qualification in Automation, Controls, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience supporting automated manufacturing environments.
• Strong PLC, HMI and SCADA troubleshooting experience.
• Pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical device experience.
• Siemens and/or Rockwell automation platforms.
• GMP and computerised systems validation knowledge.
• Industrial networking and OT systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day automation and control systems support.
• Troubleshoot PLC, HMI and SCADA systems.
• Deliver control system upgrades and continuous improvement projects.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Manage change controls and validation activities.
• Develop SOPs, specifications and technical documentation.
