Job summary

CareerWise Recruitment is seeking a Continuous Improvement Lead for a Cork-based global food sector client. The CI Lead will drive the Continuous Improvement (CI) strategy and programme, enhancing operational performance, efficiency and profitability across the business.

You will partner with business leaders to identify opportunities, deliver cost-base improvements, and embed ongoing CI delivery through value-stream mapping and process optimisation across the Agri and retail operations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years’ experience in CI/continuous improvement in operations and retail-focused sectors.
• Six Sigma Black Belt with proven application of CI tools and techniques.
• Experience leading large-scale transformation programmes.
• Strong data-driven approach to identifying and delivering opportunities.
• Proficient in lean and CI tools.

Job description

A Continuous Improvement Lead is needed for our Cork based global food sector client. The CI Lead is responsible for leading the Continuous Improvement (CI) strategy and programme, driving sustainable improvements in operational performance, efficiency, and profitability across the business. The position also provides leadership and governance for strategic projects, ensuring their successful delivery and alignment with objectives.

THE ROLE:

• Develop the roadmap and plan for the CI programme of activities for the company.
• Work with business leaders to identify significant opportunities for improvements across the supply chain and retail operations.
• Deliver significant improvements in overall cost base of the business through improvements across processes, systems, technology and people development.
• Develop processes for embedding ongoing identification of delivering improvements year on year.
• Leading and embedding process improvement/value stream mapping across the Agri business.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 8+ years’ experience in a similar role in an aligned industry sector with an operations and retail focus ideally.
• Black belt qualified with demonstrated experience of application of skills, tools and techniques
• Comfortable with transactional in addition to manufacturing CI programmes.
• Ideally experience of leading large scale transformation programme
• Expertise in data driven identification and delivery of opportunities
• Strong Practical expertise in use & application of lean & CI tools
• Candidates must have work authorisation for Ireland
