Job summary

Ayrton Group are seeking a Health and Safety Officer for an ongoing project with an Irish building contractor and property development company. The successful candidate will provide practical health and safety guidance, support compliance with legislation and drive initiatives that ensure a safe and positive workplace for everyone.

Qualifications

• 1+ years work experience in Health and Safety.
• Recognised qualification in Health & Safety or related discipline.
• Construction experience required; safe working practices essential.
• Strong report-writing and IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site audits/inspections for safety compliance.
• Support managers in promoting a strong safety culture.
• Provide advice on safety topics (noise, machinery, etc.).
• Review policies and update per legislation.
• Organise Health and Safety training.
• Inspect premises and work to identify non-conformities.
• Manage incident reporting and root-cause analysis.
• Review Safe Work Plans for site tasks.
• Carry out inductions and toolbox talks.
