AECOM is seeking a Clerk of Works in Limerick to provide on-site inspection, quality assurance and construction monitoring across building and infrastructure projects. You will work with the project delivery team to ensure works are completed safely, to the required standards, and compliant with drawings, specs and Irish regulations.

Responsibilities include regular site inspections, material quality checks, record-keeping, coordinating with contractors and stakeholders, and supporting handover

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in construction, civil engineering, building surveying, architectural technology or a related discipline.
• Previous Clerk of Works, Site Inspector, Site Supervisor or similar quality role experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and QC procedures.
• Good understanding of drawings, specs and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of Irish building regulations, standards and health & safety requirements.
• Experience working with contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects or non-compliance.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently on site while contributing to a wider team.
• Full driving licence may be required depending on location.

Responsabilités

• Carry out regular inspections of construction works to monitor progress and compliance.
• Monitor the quality of materials, workmanship and installation methods on site.
• Ensure works follow approved drawings, specifications and method statements.
• Identify defective or non-compliant works and report to project team.
• Maintain accurate records of site inspections, observations and testing.
• Attend site meetings and discuss progress, quality, safety and programme.
• Review construction documentation and test plans for submissions.
• Monitor testing and commissioning activities and maintain records.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, designers and project managers to resolve issues.
• Assist with snagging, defects and remedial works through to completion.
• Monitor progress against the programme and report delays or issues.
• Ensure changes and variations are identified and recorded.
