Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Site Supervisor for a major rail project in Ireland. You will support the Construction Manager across the full lifecycle, contributing constructability input, and ensuring safe, on-time delivery while coordinating with contractors and stakeholders.

The role involves pre-construction input, tender support, and active site supervision through commissioning. The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree (NFQ 8+) and 3+ years on large multidisciplinary projects with knowledge

Qualifications

• Irish NFQ Level 8 or higher in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 3 years' construction experience.
• Experience in engineering/management on large-scale railway or similar infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of construction contracts and commercial strategies for large-scale projects.
• Membership in MIEI, MCIOB or MICE or working towards.

Responsibilities

• Support Construction Manager with site-based input across the full project lifecycle.
• Contribute to constructability input during pre-construction and assess tender submissions.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance on site and liaison with contractors.
• Develop and manage detailed project schedules and milestones; monitor progress and recovery plans.
• Coordinate across functions for resource allocation and adherence to timelines; ensure contract compliance.
• Implement and manage Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) processes and assess contractor competency.
