Sigmar Recruitment is recruiting for a Project Manager with 7+ years of experience in main contractor / fit-out environments to lead large commercial projects. You will oversee planning, execution and delivery, coordinating clients, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure projects are on time, on budget and meet quality standards.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, risk management and clear communication, with a focus on safety and stakeholder satisfaction across multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience as a Project Manager in a main contractor / fit-out environment.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects.
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of project scheduling, cost management and risk mitigation.
• Familiarity with MS Project or Procore is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of construction projects from a fit-out perspective on large scale commercial sites.
• Develop and manage detailed project schedules and ensure milestones are met.
• Lead and motivate project teams including subcontractors and internal staff.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants and stakeholders.
• Ensure health and safety compliance, quality standards and company policies.
• Prepare and manage budgets, monitor costs and control expenditures.
• Provide regular progress updates to clients and senior management.
• Negotiate contracts and manage procurement of subcontractors.
• Review and approve project documents, drawings and reports.
• Oversee site inspections and monitor progress against plan.

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager with 7+ years of experience managing construction projects within a main contractor / fit-out environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of projects, working closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilites:

• Manage and oversee all aspects of construction projects from a fit-out point of view on a large scale commercial project.
• Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring that all milestones and deadlines are met.
• Lead and motivate a project team, including subcontractors, suppliers, and internal staff.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment throughout the project.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
• Prepare and manage project budgets, monitor costs, and control expenditure to prevent overruns.
• Provide regular progress updates to clients and senior management, identifying and addressing any potential risks or issues.
• Negotiate contracts and manage procurement processes, including sourcing and managing subcontractors.
• Review and approve project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Oversee site inspections and ensure that the project is progressing as planned.

What Skills You Need

• A minimum of 7 years’ experience as a Project Manager within a main contractor / fit-out environment.
• Proven experience in managing large-scale, complex construction projects across various sectors.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, project scheduling, cost management, and risk mitigation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring quality and efficiency.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and site management best practices.
• Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore) is desirable.
