The company now seeks an experienced Financial Controller to oversee financial management and strengthen commercial insight across projects.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with Irish sector experience.
• Strong experience in construction or civil engineering sector.
• Experience with project accounting and cost control.
• Proven ability to lead finance team.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the day to day finance function
• Lead and manage the finance team
• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and financial reporting
• Manage cash flow, budgeting and forecasting
• Monitor project costs, margins and profitability
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and credit control
• Manage subcontractor payments and construction related financial processes
• Ensure compliance with VAT, RCT and other relevant Irish tax requirements
• Manage month end and year end processes
• Liaise with external accountants, auditors, banks, suppliers and customers
• Develop and maintain strong financial controls and processes
• Provide financial analysis and commercial insight to senior management
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and efficiencies
• Support the continued growth and development of the business
• Work closely with operational and commercial teams to ensure strong financial management across projects
