KM Lynskey in Dublin 11 is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our expanding team as we undertake projects across Europe. The role focuses on preparing detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and tender submissions, with a strong emphasis on reading drawings and specifications.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years in QS/Estimating, experience with architectural fit-outs, and a proven ability to manage multiple tenders, negotiate with suppliers, and deliver accurate cost plans on time.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying or Estimating role.
• Experience with architectural fit-out packages would be beneficial.
• Strong ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Proven experience in BOQ preparation/measurement and in the use of measurement software (Candy estimating, CostX, Cubit or Bluebeam).
• Experience obtaining, assessing and negotiating supplier and subcontractor quotations.

Aufgaben

• Prepare detailed cost estimates from drawings, specifications and BOQs.
• Complete accurate quantity take-offs and measurements from drawings.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and detailed project cost estimates.
• Review tender enquiries, drawings, specifications and project documentation.
• Identify commercial risks, opportunities and potential cost savings throughout the tender process.
• Obtain, assess and negotiate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Develop rate build-ups using labour, materials, plant and subcontractor inputs to achieve margins.
• Prepare competitive and accurate tender submissions within deadlines.
• Manage RFIs, clarifications and tender correspondence.
• Carry out value engineering exercises and develop cost-saving proposals where appropriate.
• Liaise with clients, main contractors, suppliers and subcontractors during tender process.
• Support the Commercial Director and team during negotiations through to project award.
