Job summary

MMD Construction Ltd is seeking an Estimator to join our Cork team. You will support commercial control, budgeting, and tendering across projects, working with experienced construction professionals.

The role requires a third-level QS qualification and hands-on estimating experience, with proficiency in QS software and MS Office. A dynamic, detail-oriented mindset and strong communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics or equivalent.
• Experience in estimating, quantity surveying or commercial construction.
• Proficiency with QS/estimating software and MS Office.
• Strong commercial awareness of costs and procurement.
• Attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day commercial and contractual activities across the project lifecycle.
• Attend pre-contract meetings with project team and prepare budgets.
• Prepare project cash flows based on the contract programme.
• Remeasure packages and manage tender enquiries and procurement trackers.
• Maintain subcontractor scopes, apps, and variation schedules.
• Submit monthly valuations and CVR reports for review with commercial leads.
• Contribute to cost control and project reporting to clients.
