Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment has partnered with an international renewable energy business to recruit a Construction Contracts Manager in Ireland. You will oversee commercial, contractual and operational delivery of multiple utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects, from award through handover, while leading contract management across the full lifecycle.

You will drive commercial performance, manage budgets and risks, and coordinate interfaces with civil, electrical, commissioning and grid connection

Qualifications

• Degree in Project/Construction/Engineering or related discipline
• 10+ years delivering major construction or renewable energy projects
• Strong experience with FIDIC, EPC, NEC4 contracts
• Excellent commercial and financial acumen including budgets and profitability
• Experience leading multiple projects and senior stakeholders
• Deep understanding of Employer's Requirements, risk and contractual obligations
• Excellent written and verbal communication for executive reports

Responsibilities

• Lead contract management across the full project lifecycle from award to handover
• Provide leadership to Project Managers and site teams to maintain programme, budget and quality/safety standards
• Drive commercial performance across projects including budgets, forecasts, cash flow and cost reporting
• Identify and manage contractual risks and opportunities and document entitlements
• Act as senior point of contact with clients, developers, consultants and utilities
• Coordinate interfaces across civil, electrical, commissioning, grid connection activities
• Promote best practice in contract administration and project governance across the delivery team

About Your New Job

As the Construction Contracts Manager, you will take a senior role overseeing the commercial, contractual and operational delivery of multiple utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects, from contract award through to handover.

You will:

• Lead contract management across the full project lifecycle, including contractual correspondence, change management, claims, extensions of time and dispute avoidance.
• Provide leadership and support to Project Managers and site delivery teams, ensuring projects remain on programme, within budget and to the required quality and safety standards.
• Drive commercial performance across multiple projects, managing budgets, forecasts, cash flow, cost reports and project profitability.
• Identify and manage contractual risks and commercial opportunities, ensuring contractual entitlements are protected and properly documented.
• Act as a senior point of contact for clients, developers, consultants, utilities and other key stakeholders, leading contractual discussions and progress meetings.
• Coordinate interfaces across civil, electrical, commissioning, utility and grid connection activities, supporting the delivery of Solar PV and BESS projects.
• Drive best practice in contract administration, project governance and continuous improvement across the wider delivery team.

What Skills You Need

• Degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• 10+ years' experience delivering major construction, infrastructure, renewable energy, power generation or comparable capital projects.
• Strong experience administering and managing FIDIC, EPC, NEC4 and construction management contracts.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, forecasts, costs and project profitability.
• Experience managing multiple projects, multidisciplinary teams and senior stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of Employer's Requirements, contractual compliance, risk management and contractual obligations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce executive-level, decision-ready reports.
