Job summary

Addleshaw Goddard's Dublin construction team is seeking a 2 PQE+ lawyer to join our expanding practice. You will advise government bodies, developers, funders and contractors on non-contentious and contentious construction work across infrastructure, energy and projects.

Job description

With new and exciting client mandates, our high performing Construction team is looking for a 2 PQE + lawyer to join our expanding Dublin practice.

You will act for a number of large corporate entities, developers, contractors and banks supporting a variety of non-contentious and contentious construction work including infrastructure, energy and projects.

What You'll Do:
  • Support a broad range of construction matters, advising government bodies, developers, funders, contractors and other stakeholders on project procurement, dispute avoidance and dispute resolution.
  • Draft and advise on a variety of construction documentation, including building contracts, consultant appointments, warranties and development agreements across sectors such as living, offices, retail, life sciences, energy and industrial.
  • Assist with the management of construction disputes, including adjudications, conciliations and litigation, while managing large volumes of documentation with accuracy and organisation.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing practical, high-quality legal advice, managing expectations and collaborating closely with colleagues on complex, high-value matters.
  • Take on early responsibility within a supportive, high-performing team, with opportunities to lead on matters and develop your technical expertise and career.
Who We're Looking For:
  • At least 2+ years' experience advising on construction matters, with a desire to take the next step in your career.
  • Strong drafting skills and a thorough, consultative approach, with the ability to produce clear, commercially focused legal advice and documentation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience building relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple matters, prioritise effectively and remain calm under pressure while delivering an exceptional client service.
  • A proactive, ambitious and curious approach, with a genuine enthusiasm for continuous learning and understanding clients' commercial objectives.
