Job summary

Keegan Quarries Limited is recruiting for a Concrete Batch Operator to operate the batching plant across our Rathmolyon and Duleek sites in Co. Meath. You will manage batching processes, load materials, conduct daily inspections and maintain safety and quality standards.

The role requires 2+ years of relevant experience and a Level 4 qualification. A strong focus on accuracy, teamwork, and following procedures is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as Concrete Batch Operator or similar.
• Minimum Level 4 qualification (Leaving Certificate/equivalent).
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Batching Operations: operate concrete batching plant; mix exact quantities per specs.
• Material Management: inspect incoming materials and log quality data.
• Quality Assurance: follow SOPs; ensure products meet customer requirements.
• Plant Maintenance: perform daily inspections and minor maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Loader Operation: safely operate loading machinery to feed the batching plant.

Keegan Quarries Limited are currently recruiting for Concrete Batch Operator for their sites located at Rathmolyon and Duleek at Co. Meath andMillennium Business Park Cappagh Road Ballycoolin, Co. Dublin. This role includes a combination of essential duties at the batching plant, including operating the automated batching system, running loader machinery, performing daily plant inspections, and conducting routine preventative maintenance. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that all concrete mixes meet strict quality specifications while maintaining accurate raw material documentation and a high standard of workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Batching Operations: Safely operate the concrete batching plant process, ensuring exact quantities and sizes of aggregates, cement, additives, and water are mixed according to job specifications.
• Material Management: Inspect incoming raw materials daily to verify quality and volume, ensuring accurate logging and documentation.
• Quality Assurance: Follow standard operating procedures to identify and correct any operational deficiencies, liaising with Sales and Customer Service teams to guarantee products meet customer requirements.
• Plant Maintenance: Perform daily visual inspections and conduct minor preventative maintenance on plant equipment to minimize downtime.
• Loader Operation: Safely operate loading machinery to handle aggregates and feed the batching plant as needed.

A minimum of 1 to 3 years of prior experience working as a Concrete Batch Operator or in a similar role is required. Total remuneration for this role is 36,605 Euros per annum based on a standard 39 hour work week.
